“Mermaid’s Tale”, a mural painted by D*Face and Documented by Jules Césure.

In 2020, British artist D*Face painted this mural for the famous street art festival The Crystal Ship in Ostend, for which I have been the official photographer and videographer since that year. Long story short, I waited two hours for the perfect late-sunset light, so that the artwork and its surroundings would become one.

« Mermaid’s Tale », une fresque réalisée par l’artiste britannique D*Face en 2020 à l’occasion du célèbre festival de street art The Crystal Ship à Ostende, dont je suis le photographe et vidéaste officiel depuis cette année-là. Pour créer le final shot parfait, j’ai attendu deux longues heures, guettant l’instant où la lumière dorée du soleil couchant viendrait épouser l’œuvre, jusqu’à ce que la fresque et son écrin ne fassent plus qu’un.
